PITA BREAD CHIPS

INGREDIENTS

- 4 medium pita breads 

- cup extra virgin olive oil 

- ½ teaspoon salt 

- ¼ teaspoon pepper 

- Dash of garlic powder 

- Dash of paprika 

- Dash of oregano 

- Dash of basil

PREPARATION

We will start by cutting the pita bread with kitchen scissors in triangles,  you will have approximately 6 pieces from each bread, leave aside. Now we will mix ⅓ cup of extra virgin olive oil, ½ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of pepper, and brush this olive mixture over both sides of our bread triangles. Place each one on a baking pan covered with parchment paper. Sprinkle your favorite spices over each piece of bread, in this case I am using: powder garlic, paprika, oregano and basil.

Preheat the oven and bake at 350°F for 8 minutes or when you see it’s golden, remove from the oven and place on a rack to cool and it’s ready!

TIPS

  • You can use any large scissor to cut the bread

  • If you don’t have a kitchen brush you can use a clean new brush for this .

  • You can serve this with guacamole, hummus or its own
