MUSHROOM GARLIC SNACK

INGREDIENTS

- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 

- 5 tablespoons sliced garlic 

- 400 gr large white mushrooms

- 1/2 tablespoon salt 

- 1/3 cup filtered water 

- 1/2 glass of white wine (chardonnay)

- Dash of pepper 

- 3 Naan breads

IMPLEMENTS

PREP TIME: 20 MIN

PREPARATION

First, place a pan on the stove on high heat add2 tablespoons  extra virgin olive oil. When the oil is hot add 5 tablespoons sliced  garlic , let it fry for a couple minutes, add400 gr  large whole white mushrooms.  Cook for aprox 2 minutes. Turn the mushrooms over and continue  cooking for another 2 aprox. Add ½ tablespoon  salt, a dash of pepper, ⅓ cup filtered water. After 2 minutes add ½ glass of white wine, cover with a lid and let it cook for aprox 4-5 minutes. Then, uncover, the liquid is absorbed by the mushrooms , we saute them a little to cover all over them. , Remove the mushrooms on a serving dish, and leave the liquid on high until it is reduced and evaporated. Then you add this over the mushrooms and it’s ready!

On the other hand, toast the naan bread to accompany.

TIPS:

  • You can use the bread of your preference, pita or naan. 

  • Use kitchen scissors to cut the bread. 

  • Mushrooms absorb water easily, that is why we don’t wash them

  • Mushrooms and Champignons are the same product, with different ways of naming them.
