MUFFINS IN A CONE
INGREDIENTS
- 1 recipe for Birthday Cake or a box of cake dough of 430 grs approx.
- 4 egg whites or 1/3 cup of egg whites
-2 cups powdered sugar
-½ teaspoon lemon juice
- Dash of salt
-Edible dyes (red, blue and yellow)
- Colored candy
IMPLEMENTS
- Base for placing
cones (suitable for oven)
- Electric mixer
PREPARATION
In the mixer, place the egg whites and beat on high speed until peaks form and the mixture has a meringue texture.
Add the powdered sugar and continue beating on high speed, the lemon juice and a dash of salt. Clean the edges of the bowl with a silicone spatula so that everything is even.
Now we are ready to color and decorate our Muffins.
We will use two drops of edible vegetable coloring for each color and approximately 6 tablespoons of meringue for each one. We mix each color very well until it is uniform. Dip each muffin immediately and decorate with colored sprinkles.

TIPS:
- If you do not have a cone holder, you can use a muffin tin and place each cone inside.
- The muffins must be cold before decorating them.
- Place a tray under the muffins so that they drip at the moment of baking.
- The muffins immediately after preparing the meringue, so that the meringue does not dry out.
- As soon as the muffins are coated, add the sprinkles.
- To achieve the colors:
Purple = red and blue in equal proportion of each.
Orange = red and yellow in equal proportion.
Green = blue and yellow in equal proportion.
