TALLARINES VERDES

INGREDIENTS

- 2 sprigs fresh  basil

- 300 grs baby spinach leaves

- 2 cups filtered hot water  

- ½ cup evaporated lowfat milk 

- ¼ teaspoon  garlic powder 

- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter  

- 250 gr  fetuccine

- Dash of salt, black pepper

PREPARATION

First, pour 2 cups of filtered hot boiling water over the  pre-washed spinach to soften it.  Drain and put the spinach in the blender, add  the washed basil, ½ cup evaporated milk, dash of salt and pepper, ¼ teaspoon  garlic powder. Blend all together until you get a creamy textureThen, while it is still warm you add 1 tablespoon unsalted butter to give a creamy texture, blend once more  and it’s ready!

On the other hand, cook the fettuccine in a pot with boiling water and salt  for approx 7’ , drain . Mix the spinach sauce with the fettuccine and serve.

TIPS:

  • Important : be careful with the  salt because  the spinach is already salty, so just use a little 

  • At the moment you serve it you can sprinkle some black pepper and grated parmesan cheese.
