RUSTIC MASHED POTATOES
INGREDIENTS
- 600 gr little potatoes
- 1 ½ lt water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon powder garlic
- ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ cup evaporated milk
PREPARATION
First, cook 600 gr of little potatoes in 1 ½ lt of water for approximately 20 minutes. Once they are ready , discard the water and place the potatoes in a bowl. Then, with the help of a potato masher press them until they are all done. Now, add 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper, 3 tablespoons unsalted butter and ½ cup evaporated milk. Finally, cook for 2 minutes more on a medium high heat, mixing everything together and it’s ready!

TIPS:
Potatoes are ready when you introduce a large fork and it goes easily.
It is very important to mash the potatoes immediately after cooking, so it is easier to press on them, and the result smoother.
Use a wooden spoon to mix and beat, the more you beat, the smoother and creamer the result would be.
If you want it less thick, you can add more milk or even water.
