SALMON MAPLE RECIPE

 INGREDIENTS

-360 grs of Atlantic Salmon (2 Filets of 180 grs each)

-1 tablespoon extra virgin Olive oil

-1/2 lemon (juice)

-1 lime (juice)

- 2 tablespoons maple syrup

-1/2 teaspoon Garlic granules or ground

-Coarse Salt (5 pinches)

-Dash Black Pepper (freshly grinded)

- 2 Parsley sprigs

PREPARATION

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Take an oven proof dish and spread the olive oil at the bottom.

Lay the salmon filets over it skin side down.. Squeeze the lemon and lime over it.

Next, sprinkle salt on each side of the salmon pieces, the  garlic granules and freshly ground black pepper.

Finally 2 tablespoons of Maple Syrup, one over each filet.

Cover in aluminum foil tightly and leave aside for 15’ to infuse in the lemon and flavors.

Meanwhile, heat the oven to 350 degrees. After 15’ have passed,  take the salmon to the oven for 25’.

Serve with a wedge of lemon and accompany with cooked white or brown rice and a parsley sprig.

TIPS

  • Use oven proof gloves.

  • You can accompany this dish with baked potato as well, just put it in the oven covered in foil while the salmon cooks, you can start putting them before preparing the salmon, as potatoes take a bit longer. 

  • It is important not to overcook the salmon as it gets too dry.

  • Ingredients and cooking time  are for this weight of salmon filets, if you use smaller or larger adjust the cooking time accordingly.
